My exchange to Romania, Tulcea
The exchange to Romania was something new. I understood a lot, met new people and learned to see the world in a different way. I found myself in a different reality, as if I went back in time.
Just like other cities in this country, where you usually go, for example Bucharest, they are beautiful, prepared for foreign tourists. Tulcea is the opposite of that, like other cities we passed while going from Bucharest to Tulcea by bus. The buildings were old, dilapidated, with broken windows, but normally people lived in them. I found myself in an environment I wasn't used to, there was practically nothing there, I didn't become a fan of the food either. But the people were wonderful, open, they prepared a wonderful welcome, but at night you could see it was dangerous: there were no women at all, when there were some women, they were with men.
I saw through this project that maybe the capital cities or big cities look wonderful, but it doesn't mean that everywhere has to be like that and the reality in the country looks different. I met people from different countries, I learned about their culture and about different versions of the same game.
This project gave me a lot, I'm very happy that I went there.
